The American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons (ABOS) recently elected J. Lawrence Marsh, MD, Chair and DEO of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation, as its 62nd president. The ABOS establishes educational and competency standards for the initial certification of orthopedic surgeons and through its re-certification process ensures that board certified orthopedic surgeons continue to provide excellent patient care. Individuals elected to ABOS board of directors have demonstrated exceptional clinical skills and meet the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct.
